Hi! I’m Aya Aoki, writing this English and Japanese bilingual blog, Aya’s Cool Japan Blog. I’m hoping to reach out the world by sharing the charm of our culture and language. People all over the world are so interested in Japan and the Japanese but because of the language barrier, it is quite difficult to figure out what Japan is really like. I believe quite large number of people desire to know our daily life and how everyday Japanese are. It might be a far-away dreamland for many people, and there exist very few resources to capture the whole image of the enigmatic country. こんにちは。この英語と日本語のバイリンガルブログ、Aya’s Cool Japan Blog を書いている青木綾と申します。このブログを始めたきっかけは、日本の文化と日本語を通して世界中の人に日本の魅力をお伝えしたいという強い思いから来ています。世界の多くの人々は日本に憧れを抱き、日本人の日々の暮らしや日本人がどういう考えをしているのか強い関心を抱いていますが、残念ながら言葉の壁が大きく立ちはだかり、知りたいという気持ちを抱えたまま、もどかしい思いをしている人が驚くほど存在しています。この不可思議で魅惑的な雰囲気を纏う日本という国の魅力を、この国の内側から発信することにより、日本及び日本人のことを知りたいという人々の益になればと願っています。日本が誇る和食や、平和を願う気持ち、その独特な文化の香りを届けたいと思っています。日本語を学んでいる人々にとって、このブログが日本の文化や言語を学ぶ助けとなれば大変光栄です。また、英語を学んでいる方たちにとっても、お役に立てば嬉しく思います。

2000年東京外国語大学外国語学部卒業、専攻マレーシア語、副専攻英語。英会話講師、翻訳業、通訳業、そしてバイリンガルブロガーを生業としています。語学を学び、言葉や思考の間に漂う概念、或いは気配を掬い上げて言語化することを深い喜びとする者です。2024年京都芸術大学大学院修士課程（通信教育）修了。日本文化発信について研究し、日英のバイリンガルで日本文化を綴り講義する「ジャパノグラフィー」を確立させ、第一人者となりました。
