Hello, everyone. How are you doing? More than 3 years have passed since I started this blog. Along the way, I confronted with countless hardships and trials and the path was very challenging and demanding. Even though, I never thought of quitting as I believe this project is something truly worthy. And this October, one of my dreams and goals from the beginning has come true. I was able to complete an important mission, I succeeded having 4 lectures about Japan and this blog in Iceland. I’ll upload the lecture trip articles in detail later one by one.
皆様こんにちは。このブログを始めて三年余り。様々な困難や試練に直面しつつも、ひたすら愚直に懸命にこのプロジェクトに取り組んで来ました。そしてこの10月に、ブログ開始当初から大きく目標として掲げていた、アイスランドで日本の魅力及びAya’s Cool Japan Blog を広げる活動をするという、一大使命を無事成功させました。詳しい内容は順次記事にてご紹介します。
I want to represent my heartfelt gratitude toward Ambassador Elin Flygenring of the Embassy of Iceland in Japan. She has been supporting my project for more than a year and she encouraged me all through the way. To my astonishment, Ambassador Elin invited me to a reception party welcoming the President couple of Iceland who were paying a visit to Japan in order to attend the enthronement ceremony of Japanese Emperor. It was such a great privilege.
私のこの活動に素晴らしいご理解を示して下さり、ずっと暖かい励ましとご支援をして下さった、在日本アイスランド大使館のエーリン・フリーゲリング大使に心よりお礼申し上げます。私がアイスランドから帰国した後、天皇陛下の即位の礼に御参列される為に来日されていた、アイスランド大統領ご夫妻を歓迎するレセプションがアイスランド大使館で開催され、大変光栄なことに私もエーリン大使よりご招待をお受けして、レセプションパーティーに参加させて頂きました。
I was honored to have a talk with President Johannesson. I told him my project and that I just had lectures at University of Iceland and a college. He showed interest toward my project and we shook hands. He was so kind to tell me thank you.

When I was visiting Iceland, I was able to visit the Embassy of Japan in Iceland as well. I was blessed with an opportunity to meet the Ambassador of Japan, Ambassador Kitagawa. He kindly spared about an hour for me and encouraged me to continue this project so warmly. Embassy of Japan Facebook page shared information about my lecture and some people attended my lecture after seeing the site.
アイスランド滞在中に、在アイスランド日本大使館へも大使表敬訪問にお伺い致しました。北川靖彦大使と1時間ほどお話しをさせて頂き、北川大使より力強い言葉を頂戴し、是非これからもブログを続けるようにと激励の言葉をかけていただきました。日本大使館のFacebook ページでも私の講演の情報をシェアして頂き、そのページを見たと言って講演に来て下さった方が何人もいらっしゃいました。

At the beginning, I started this blog project all by myself. However, I was blessed with so many encounters along the way, and many people supported me and helped me both good times and bad times. I believe their gentle and powerful encouragement brought me where I am. I want to show my utmost gratitude here. Thanks to their positive energy, I was able to achieve one goal. And I desire to keep working diligently. I keep promoting the charm of Japan to all over the world and I dearly wish that this project would be able to contribute peace diplomacy of Japan in some small way. I made up my mind to work with rejoice!
元々はたった一人で始めたこのプロジェクトですが、様々な出会いが祝福され、多くの人々の助けや暖かい御支援を受けて、ここまで来ることができました。陰に日向に私を支えて下さった、その優しく力強い思いの強さが私をここまで運んでくれたのだと信じています。一つの到達点としてここまで来れたことを感謝し、これからも日本の魅力を広く世界に発信する活動を続けてゆきたいと、ひいてはそのことが日本の平和外交にささやかながら貢献するものになれるのだと信じ、心より精進してゆきたいと思っています。
